Keep The Change!

It’s been more than a few years since the rumor that the United States government was going to stop minting pennies. It could still happen, and there's also the possibility that the US mint would no longer produce quarters. Why would they do this? Well, if nobody is using those coins then why should they continue to make them?

The fact is the more and more people are not using coins or cash at all, but instead using credit and debit cards for all of their purchases. That should throw up a big red flag for anyone in the vending business.

Are you accepting credit cards on all of your vending machines? Here are three reasons that you should always accept credit cards on all of your machines.

  • More purchases and higher purchase amounts because when people purchase with a credit card they tend to spend more.

  • More customers because more people are carrying less cash and almost everyone carries a credit or debit card

  • Less cash theft: If there's no cash there then there's no cash to be stolen.

  • More millennials: millennials are leading the charge (pun intended) of using credit and debit cards for every single purchase no matter how small.

That should pretty much sum up your entire business! We highly recommend that you make sure that every machine you operate offers your customers the ability to use a credit or debit card. The bottom line is that excepting credit cards will simply increase your vending business.
