AI-enabled markets and vending inventory control platform.
VMS predicts if you are likely to run out of a product before the next delivery with Warehouse Rationing. Rationing intelligently redistributes inventory to reduce the probability of stockouts in your markets and machines. Rationing is recalculated daily and automatically adjusts based on actual sales instead of forecasted sales. Users may also temporarily replace a product. This is automatically reverted once the warehouse either has enough of the product or the rationing is deactivated for a product.
Watch Warehouse Rationing DemoVMS takes the guesswork from creating purchase orders and suggests how much product you should order from your vendors. Suggested Order Quantity uses AutoPar, your real-time on-hand inventory, and the estimated delivery date of your next order to calculate the number of each product to order. This data-driven suggestion doesn't require running reports first, saving your purchasing manager a ton of time. Order the right amount of product from your vendors to reduce the chance of product shortage and stockouts.
Define the number of days worth of inventory you want on hand. AutoPar automatically determines the quantity of each product, which changes with your average pick volume over the last 30 days. When markets and machine sales increase, like water in the summertime, AutoPar automatically increases, too — you don't need to remember to make manual adjustments. Our recommended best practice is to set your AutoPar days based on how often that product is delivered plus a margin based on the Order Fill Rate. You can always use your own logic for determining the right operating stock level for each product.
Watch AutoPar DemoActive Warehouse Inventory in VMS is indicated clearly to all users. More than one user can inventory a warehouse simultaneously so that you can divide the work across people into different sections. Bringbacks are tracked separately to avoid duplicates. New screens allow your admins to review counts, variance and not counted items before submitting a final inventory count. This improved process helps avoid human error during a warehouse inventory, so you accurately know how much you have and don't run out of product.
The real-time Accountability View helps you find over and short values instantly, without needing to run a report. Product, Meter, and DEX O/S values that are far too high or low may indicate a missed DEX reading, corrupted DEX data, or a human data entry error. You could quickly review this vend visit to understand what led to this result, like stockouts. You can also use conditional highlighting to pull up a single POS to understand trends, like if a product has been stocked out for more than one visit.
Watch Accountability View DemoKnow instantly which routes and how many products contributed to bringbacks and spoilage for any period of time with Global Reports. Bringbacks also allow you to compare the amount of product picked vs. how much was added. This lets you easily identify great drivers placing as many products as possible and creates training opportunities for drivers with large amounts of bringbacks. These are common reporting needs provided to all VMS customers, and custom reports give you flexibility on the metrics you want to track to help solve shortages.
The new Product Detail Page is a deep dive into any individual product and its status in your warehouse(s). Know how many you have on hand across multiple warehouses, when you last received this product, when you next receive this product, and your order fill rate %. This page can provide you early signals to take action on any individual product and allow you to add new SKUs, assign tags, or increase the price in your markets.
As a best practice, tags are assigned to your most popular products by vendor or brand. Tags can be assigned at different levels: product, product family, POS, customer, or route. A popular use case for tags is for Canteen Franchises to create a "Mars" or "Hershey" label at the product level for reporting back to Canteen. Or to improve grouping products in markets planograms, simplifying the inventory process for your drivers. Tags are a highly scalable method to identify products across your operation.
With Spot Check, your drivers focus on counting a small number of products that need manual verification (like a recently sold-out product) without inventorying the entire market. This speeds them up at each visit and, over time, ensures your driver is manually verifying the most critical product quantities. Unlike vending, markets planograms are primarily managed by photos instead of an arrangement of individual product images — maintaining more consistent accuracy and reducing the chance of human error. And for hybrid routes, your drivers use the same app for markets, vending, and delivery.
Your drivers take a picture at the end of each visit, creating Visit Images. The most important use for these images is seeing the condition your driver left your customer, which sometimes includes finding stockouts. It's likely your driver tracked this stockout already, but this helps if they missed it. This visual identification is powerful — allowing you to take action on behalf of your customers to reduce the time in which a product is missing. When your customers call, you have more insight to help them out.
When you DEX reliably with the Gimme Key Pro, your drivers do less manual inventorying at machines. This leads to fewer mistakes and more accuracy, leading to fewer stockouts at the machine level. Every driver using Gimme is equipped with a Gimme Key Pro from their first day. Depending on which method you were getting DEX before, your drivers may also experience a significant increase in speed across all of their stops.
Watch the Gimme Key Pro launch trailerAI Stockout Detection runs on the device while your drivers hold up the camera. VMS detects the number of stockouts and alerts the driver in real-time if it doesn’t match their inventory data — which even works without data coverage. Eliminate an entire category of human error during market and machine visits if the product doesn't end up in a tote and your driver forgets to make the manual adjustment. This is a powerful new way to solve shortages at the POS level.

AI Schedule Suggestions gives you the best of both worlds, static and dynamic, by making your recurring visit schedule more efficient without hiring a dedicated schedule dispatcher. First, markets are broken into sections that can be individually scheduled to better balance items with varied shelf life. Then, the system uses "probability of stockouts” to make schedule suggestions while keeping you in control to accept or decline. Learn more about what contributes to a schedule suggestion in the announcement link. Overall, it will create predictable schedule savings that allow you to run larger operations with fewer employees and trucks on the road.
